Boost Your Immune System this Winter

If you would like to make sure that you are not getting all the bugs at the office, you need to work on improving your immune system. While antibiotics can get rid of cold in a week, you have little or no defense against viruses, apart from your immune system. If you work hard all week and don’t take time for relaxation, or treating your body, you will be more likely to suffer from colds this year. Get Your Fruit

In the winter, you might forget about fresh fruit, or cannot get enough from your local shop. The good news is that you can freeze your fruit in the summer or get cheaper, frozen fruit salad and eat it during the winter. Frozen fruit still has a lot of vitamins and minerals, and your body can use the antioxidants to fight off  viruses and bacteria. Make a fruit salad every day of berries, and pour it in fresh yoghurt to protect your health.

 

Eat Fish

Fish has a lot of Omega 3, which can not only make your heart healthier, but also help your body fight illnesses. Fish in the winter is a great option, as it is full of protein, and keeps you full for longer. Pair seafood with fresh lettuce, cucumbers, and add steamed vegetables to make the most out of your meals. Add a drop of lemon juice for taste, and enjoy it on cold winter nights.

 

 

Drink Herbal Tea

There are several herbal tea varieties that help you improve your immune system, including mint, green tea with natural antioxidants, and chamomile to fight inflammation and infections. Get Fresh Air

Don’t neglect the swimming pool just because it is colder outside, and keep up your routine. This way, your metabolism will be more effective, and you can get rid of unwanted chemicals and toxins that reduce the functionality of your immune system.
