While often ignored and put to one side, you should know that your emotional wellbeing is just as important as your physical wellbeing. Practicing meditation has never been more popular, and thanks to technology and apps, it’s never been easier to meditate either. Find guided meditations on youtube or search in the app store for specific apps.

 

Breathe

Breathing exercises are brilliant for helping you to relax, and they can be similar to meditating as they allow you to clear your head and just focus on your breathing. If you don’t have the time to do this consciously, just try to remember next time you’re feeling overwhelmed and stressed how much breathing could help you.

 

Write Things Down

It sounds strange, but the more you do, the more you find you can do. If you’re feeling overwhelmed and like you don’t have enough time, write things down. Set aside a few minutes before you go to bed and write down your thoughts almost like a journal. This can really help to give you a focus of what you’re doing in your life, what is causing you to be overwhelmed, what it is that you need to do, and what you want from life.  

 

Talk About How You Feel

If you’re stressed about something, talk to someone. You never know what useful advice they might be able to give you, they may even have the answer to your problem. Even if they can’t though, just having someone listen to you can make all the difference. You just never know until you speak out and share your feelings. If you have too much to do or are going through a major event in your life, then ask people to help. Sometimes others just don’t realize that you’re struggling but if you let them know they would be more than happy to take some jobs off you and help you out.
