It can give you a different focus aside from your children, and could even turn into something that gets you socializing or making money. If you have an outside space, then taking it on, owning it, and doing something with it could be just the right thing that you need to get your mind ticking over. You might miss the friendship and camaraderie of the workforce, so perhaps a sports team could help with that? You also get the benefit of getting fitter and enjoying a sport that you love. If team sports aren’t really your thing, but you enjoy being active, then training for something specific, like a triathlon, for instance, could be just the thing that you need to get you doing something outside of the house.
