Three Destinations to Take the Children Next Year

For fun family vacations, there has to be plenty of activities to keep the little people happy. If the kids are happy, then the parents are too! If you have children of different ages, such as a toddler and a teen, then you also need a destination with activities to please both age groups. There are some places to go that are especially geared up for families, so if you are wondering about destinations to take the children next year, this guide gives you some ideas.

London is a great destination for fun activities for all the family to enjoy. Harry Potter fans will be excited to visit the Warner Bros. studio where the films were made, and spend some time on the sets of The Great Hall or visit Platform 9 and 3/4s.

Other great family days out include the Natural History Museum where you can explore the wonders of the natural world and our planet. There is Madame Tussauds where you can rub shoulders with the stars, waxwork models that is! Or, how about a visit to Hampton Court Palace, home of King Henry VIII, and find your way through the extensive garden maze? After that, enjoy an evening at the theater for West End musicals, dance performances or music events.

The sunshine state of Florida is a fun destination for kids and adults, and Orlando is home to theme parks that offer fun packed days out. No trip to Orlando is complete without a day at Disney World, where you can meet all your favorite characters from the Disney movies, as well as seeking adventure on some of the rides. Or, wizard fans will enjoy a trip to Universal Studios and see the world of Harry Potter.


Aside from theme parks, there is the wonderful Sea-Life Orlando Aquarium where you can get close to a variety of marine life, and even take part in feeding sessions.

Maui is a Hawaiian island that is home to areas of outstanding natural beauty, and is a great place for the family to spend time enjoying the great outdoors. With its miles of sandy, sheltered beaches, this island is the place to go for water sports such as snorkeling and canoeing, as well as faster water sports for older children. For all ages, relaxing and building sand castles is also fun.


Visit Haleakala National Park where there are hiking trails to suit all ages and abilities, or how about a trip to Maui’s Tropical Plantation, where some of the island’s fruits and vegetables are grown? There is also a zip line for kids over the age of five that goes over the plantation.
