Have Yourself A Healing Afternoon!

With everyone we have to cope with in our lives, we could all do with a few more afternoons to ourselves. Working, schooling, being around family 24/7 to take care of them, and lounging on the couch whenever we can can all lead to a sedentary lifestyle we should try to break the habit of. Thankfully, there’s a lot of changes you can make in a single afternoon that can make you feel a little healthier, so try out some of the ideas below.

Tackle Your To Do List!

We all love the feeling of getting something out of the way! Because of this, a lot of the time we can feel we don’t deserve to relax in our own time as we’ve gotten nothing done and our productivity is on the slide. To avoid this little guilt trip, pick a task and complete it as soon as you wake up; it’s a great way to start the day and can even lead to a good habit.

And tackling your to do list doesn’t even have to be in a big way! If you manage to cross a task off of your list that you’ve been meaning to do for ages, you’re going to feel incredible about yourself! Once one of these tasks is out of the way, you’ve got the entire afternoon to yourself to practice a little bit of self care!

Brew Something Nice

You don’t have to be a witch to stir up a good brew, but you could put on a pointed hat if you really feel like it! Instead, heat up some water and pop a teabag in, you never know what your new favorite taste could turn out to be.

Buy some different tea types from your local supermarket and try each one out. Tea has a lot of healing properties about it depending on what you drink, including strengthening the immune system against cancer in types such as Green Tea, and a lot less caffeine than the traditional coffee you always take to start the day!

Make Sure You’re Doing What You Want To

We all have our creature comforts, but an important part of self care is breaking away from those and actually doing the things we want to do. This can range from anything, such as finally getting round to starting that art course, to finally cooking that meal you’ve wanted to try for weeks.

As long as you’re doing something you know you actually enjoy, and you’re not procrastinating your time away, you’re going to be having a great afternoon. Make sure you accomplish some of the things you’ve been dreaming about for a long time, and you’ll get yourself into another good habit to spend the next few months or so in!

Healing afternoons can come in all shapes and sizes, so make sure yours looks the way you want it to. Even if someone else likes to lounge and nap, you can do something different.
